Serenity Now

Now more than ever, we're being called upon to examine our own ability to consciously respond to ourselves and each other in a rapidly changing world.

How can we do this?

Without a willingness to look at our own habitual reactions, to slow down, to become present for what or who is steering our own individual and collective driver's wheel we may be stuck in our own version of life on a hamster's wheel!

If it seems like the world outside of us is stalled, stuck, confused and confusing, this is most likely accurate.

In comparison, when we're able to face our own difficulties while adjusting to the change around us - which is ever present and also a natural part of life, our ability to consciously move forward expands.

We may seek the support and wisdom of established or developing recovery models.

The work of recovery brings attention to our own ability to become more conscious. Conscious about our individual behavior while learning what is ours to control, and what we can begin to let go of in order to experience SERENITY.

Recovery work is navigated with our own experiences of a "higher power", and in community with others also on the recovery spiritual journey-  sometimes called the sangha.

Addiction & Trauma:
The field of addiction and trauma informed medicine and treatments are gaining much needed evolution in understanding how our own compulsive behaviors take root through neuroplasticity, and how unmetabolized trauma has led to addictive behaviors.
